In 1998 there were many developments that led to the founding of Intercambio Express, Inc.
The US economy was growing at a phenomenal level and enjoyed a low unemployment rate. These factors gave Hispanic people a chance to immigrate and work in the local industry.
The choices to send money from the Midwest were very limited and the cost was excessively high. The service was not available in Spanish and did not meet the needs of Hispanic people.
Our founder enjoys learning and while earning his MBA at Indiana University he conducted market research and developed a business plan that included attractive exchange rates and superior service with Spanish speaking agents.
The business plan led us to the incorporation of Intercambio Express as a company which would benefit workers and the people who received the money abroad.
We established the company to specifically serve Spanish speaking people with Spanish speaking employees.
It did not take long for the word to spread that our service was good and it has led to the expansion to other Midwestern states and now we send money to Mexico and nine other countries in Central and South America.
